As new technology sweeps into the small-business lending market, we hear how CFA members are adapting new technology to position themselves for future success. 

The small business factoring market is currently fragmented into hundreds of small factors, many with portfolios of less than $10 million.  If current trends hold, that is set to change, and fast.  The market has already experienced the impact of smaller loans from merchant cash advance (MCA) copanies.  Innovations at online receivables finance companies, such as BlueVine and Dealstruck, together with the introduction of lower APR term loans and lines-of-credit, could potentially disrupt this fragmented market, because large-scale platforms may be preferred by many customers.   Read More
